Yo Gabba Gabba is one of the most popular childrens television show shown on TV these days and a theme that your little one is SURE TO LOVE. Geared towards the three to five year old crowd the show is designed to teach children how to do things and develop skills which screams for "make a craft" and "learn a new dance step" activities described below.
The designs are uncomplicated and are fairly simple to recreate. You can easily draw your own pictures on bright colored bags to use as decorations and then top off with some balloons for an easy centerpiece. The themes colors couldn't be more fun if you tried. Yo Gabba Gabba characters are so easy to make that you can have the kids make their own favorite characters out of brightly colored bags. Some favorites are: Muno The Red Cyclops, Foofa The Pink Flower Bubble, Brobee The Little Green One, Toodee The Blug Cat-Dragon, or Plex The Yellow Robot. Print out some free templates from Nick Jr. and have the kids glue them onto some brightly colored paper bags and then fill with favors for an easy craft/favor combo. The kids can also decorate their favor bags with great Yo Gabba Gabba stickers!
Another great activity: When the kids first come in they can work on their own Yo Gabba Gabba activity placemats that have fun games and puzzles printed on the back to keep party guests entertained.
Dancing is such a big part of the show that it makes perfect sense to incorporate it into your party. You can even download some Yo Gabba Gabba music from iTunes and have the kids dance their hearts away. If you are looking for another activity, have them play freeze dance or teach them a dance step that they can all learn together.
Making Magic Pictures is another popular part of the show and is also a great activity for the birthday party. Here are some downloadable prints from Nick Jr. Print them out and supply each child with their own set of markers and stickers that they can use and take home in the bags they just made as a reminder of the fun day they shared with your party child.
